SUPREME PERLITE Medium Horticultural Grade perlite consists primarily of particles roughly 1/8 - 3/16” in diameter. It offers balanced drainage and water-holding capacity and can be useful for container sizes ranging between 1—3” in diameter. Mix with coconut coir, peat moss, or other soilless growing media to make a high quality potting mix.

Other uses include as a component of DOT Media Filter Drains and alone as a propagation media. Perlite is a 100% natural, heat-expanded siliceous volcanic rock. It is used to loosen heavy soils and as a medium for seed starting and root cuttings. Perlite is, sterile, ultra-lightweight, non-toxic, permanent, incombustible, asbestos-free, and virtually pH-neutral.

This grade was formerly called SOIL MIX GRADE.
